We've just installed another PressProfiler ink key presetting system (CIP3) for Print Plus Ltd in Bradford, significantly reducing their make-ready time and paper usage on their 5 colour SpeedMaster 74 press.
Once again our cost effective solution has proven it can do just the same as systems 4 times the price, quickly, accurately and affordably. At Print Plus we've integrated their Prinergy EVO workflow directly to their SM74 CPC2000 console without the need for expensive CIP3 options for the workflow, or costly conversion software from the press manufacturer.
PressProfiler TIFFConnect gathers separation files from the workflow and PressProfiler then analyses the separations for inking in to the specific specifications of the target press before outputting the ink zone and coverage information to the Heidelberg's PPF+ file format. We then directly networked the press console and configured it to collect the inking files and even preview images so the press minder can at a glance see which job he's looking and and then load the inking data into the console.
As part of the installation we configured the press characteristic curves through two calibration runs on press to give accurate inking preset for coated and uncoated paper. PressProfiler is once again saving time and money every time the customer runs a job.
